With Mother Nature's Cooperation, the Summer Program will be weekly until the
Off Week of July 4-7.
This Week's News From The Farms
Harvesting has been extremely good this week. Over the course of the season, harvesting will fluctuate. We do not want to overwhelm you. Some weeks will be larger than usual and some will be somewhat lighter, depending on weather conditions and crop growth. The amount of produce you receive over the course of the program will be a bountiful harvest for your investment.
The drought continues to keep us all very busy tending to crops. Watering and weeding are required In addition to our regular planting schedules.
These conditions have also made it difficult to find time to put our a proper newsletter. Hopefully this will be resolved soon so we can all enjoy more from our official Focalizer, Ethan Brent.
We are currently working on more efficient packing and distribution methods to make the CSA run smoother for our staff as well as our members. Please double-check the produce list and your count of items when picking up at your distribution point so all members receive a full share of produce.
Also a reminder – if you cannot pick up your share, please contact your coordinator or distribution point.

With the wonderful assortment of greens, wonderful salads can be made from most.
Garlic Scapes can used the same way that chives or spring onions are used, such as in salads, stir-frys, soups, casseroles, you name it.
Many are enjoying grilling Pac Choi on their outdoor grills. Marinate in garlic scapes, ginger and olive oil and salt and pepper to taste.
Bon Appetit!
